WHAT IS IT? What’s Poppin SEL Cards is a lively SEL game that will help you build positive school culture, relationships, and friendships. Each card has entertaining questions that allow students (really adults too) to get to know one another, build community, and establish a positive classroom or school culture in a fun way! It can be an ice breaker to get things started or a part of the actual lesson during class! Either way, you need this in your life!
HOW TO PLAY – Play virtually, in person, in teams, in school, with family, or even with coworkers. You can use these fun cards for short discussions, conversation starters, community building exercises, or even restorative circle prompts. The cards provide youth with opportunities to engage in discussion, think outside the box, use teamwork, and have fun while learning and building a sense of shared community.
PICK A CARD - It’s simple! One person reads the question and the other person answers. Take turns or grab a new card. It’s really up to you. If you pick an action card, be ready to do something like share a secret talent, give a compliment or step outside of your comfort zone (in a fun way).
